The most effective ad for making me want to buy stuff ever.

right. the only thing that really streched my pleasantly suspended belief was the tires rolling _up_ the ramp--as for everything else--hey, it could happen--.

Take a tire (or tin can, or any other hollow cylinder you want to use) and affix a weight to one part of it. Then balance it so that the weighted part the most superior portion. Then nudge it... accelleration, even up a gentle incline. The film on which this was based, "The Way Things Go" was make in the 80's, back before computer graphics could make anything like that look convincing, and I'm pretty sure I remember its having a couple of effects like that ... I really think this one was legit.

And I'm buying a Honda tomorrow. Best commercial ever.

dammit! fine! okay, okay--but six hundred and six takes? morons. i would have gotten it on the first try.

Holy balls... I didn't even see that. That's a shit-ton of takes. They should have just let you make it in the first place.

Posted by: e lo at April 18, 2003 08:23 PM

Yeah, but if they'd let MRP make it, there would have been gay bartenders in the background drinking Maker's Mark.

I'm just saying, is all.
