RIP Johnny Cash. Man. Other than the news about Black Francis and Co., it's been a really shitty couple of weeks for music.

dolly parton was on leno (i know, i know, i only watched it because i saw dolly) about a year ago and was telling a story about how she was at some nashville party and this young hipster dressed all in black came up to her and was sexy and coked up and hitting on her. leno's buying it, etc. and then the punchline was, "yeah that johnny cash is really something."

this is a sad day in entertainment.

very sad. technically johnny cash was the first musician i ever liked. my family used to listen to cash cassettes driving back to the city from rhinecliff. i know every word to "boy named sue" by heart to this day. cash will be missed.

I didn't hear about it until just now.

That's terrible, America has lost one of it's few remaining real-life badasses. Guess I'm drinkin' one for him tonight.
