Now that's science

No, a cure for cancer hasn't been found yet. But they have invented nano-velcro! Now you would think that something with the word velcro in it would be used in consumer products, like velcro for shoes for those of us who have trouble tying their laces.
But no, to quote the scientists, nano-velcro "bond most solids together so powerfully that the materials themselves would break before the pads of hooks came apart." Now someone stop me if this suddenly makes sense, but what use is velcro that can't come apart?

So now you've got something against velcro-users??? HOW DARE YOU!

No. I'm just trying to understand the worth of velcro that doesn't come apart. I'm just trying to conceive of potential uses of this technology. Coming up blank.

Nice knee-jerk reaction there though Chris. Because obviously if I don't understand something, I hate it with a passion.

FIRE BAD!!!!!

It seems like they plan to use it like glue. I mean, pulling it apart raises the material's temperature to 1000 degrees.

oh and... HOW DARE YOU!
