Ok. I know. Another fat post. But this is what I'm talking about. This woman is suing the public housing authority because they're taking too long in adjusting her *PUBLIC* housing unit to her 772 pound frame.
Personal responsibility is dead, because she rolled over and killed it and never even noticed.

Don't get me wrong. Social welfare programs are important and those without the means to help themselves should be helped by others. However, I think it is irresponsible to lift a single finger to help this woman.

Out of curiousity though... would you feel different if it was her grown children requesting these repairs while she just apologetically said that she was just fine without them? Is it her presumption that she has a right to these that bugs you?

It would still bother me if it was her son asking while she said she was fine. Unless she has a glandular disorder that is verified by several doctors, she shouldn't get shit. Unless she is TOTALLY unable to keep off staggering weight like this because of said glanular disorder, she deserves absolutely no help from the public. I mean, come on, Sumo wrestlers are like 500 pounds and they have to TRAIN to get that heavy.
The issue is not her fatness. The issue is personal responsibility. I can accept exceptions for people who cannot be responsible for themselves because of some medical issue. However, the public should not be held responsible when someone who is just fat & lazy just so she can continue to be fat & lazy.

It doesn't say that she's mentally challenged (and to answer your question, I'm not drawing the line, I'm relying on mental health professionals, if a couple of them looked at her and said that she's challenged, then that's that) so I can only assume that she's not.

It seems to me that you're not relying on the mental health professionals. you're relying on the website. and there has to be some kind of gland issue going on. you can't get to be the size of two fat people without gland issues.
