Of course this test is stupid because it deals only with stated ideals of the candidates. It says nothing about the feasibility of these ideas or the character flaws of the people running. Still interesting.

Hey, did you guys where I mad italics and whatnot? Siiiicccck.

Cobb and Nader topped my list as well. I feel dirty.

But it makes me feel better, Win, that you're 10% more republican than I am (Bush came in at 7% for me). I always suspected as much. What was it, you think? Vouchers? When the lights go down, you like the vouchers, don't you?

Do you think Bush treats the world like Mike Doughty on "Is Chicago," where he just points at things all day long declaring them to be either "freedom" or "terra."

Cobb 100%, Nader 95, Walt Brown 87, John Kerry 70, and (drumroll) . . . . . .

President George W. Bush, 1%

I don't really know how I feel about this.

SO I guess we are all voting for Cobb because he topped my list also....

On a disturbing side note. I was 18% for GW

No big surprise, Cobb topped my non-ideal-theoretical-candidate list as well. #4 was the Rev. Al Sharpton type. Sweet.

Your Results:

1. Your ideal theoretical candidate. (98%)
2. Cobb, David - Green Party (76%)
3. Nader, Ralph - Independent (76%)
4. Brown, Walt - Socialist Party (67%)
5. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (60%)
6. Badnarik, Michael - Libertarian (48%)
7. Peroutka, Michael - Constitution Party
8. Bush, President George W. - Republican

Yeah, so I'm fiscally conservative, socially liberal and I like the guns and the NRA (not all the time, they can be pricks) The biggest issues for me are:
1)Foreign policy - We can get more allies in Iraq if we go back to the UN and ask for help, admit we should have waited....a little humility goes a long way.
2)Health Care - As a benefits administrator, I've seen health care go up about 20% every year I've been doing this. As the richest country in the world, we can figure it out. I like Kerry's plan to remove people from the pool if they have catastrophic costs and broaden the governments buying power.
3)Corporate Welfare - Should be ended. We need to be REAL harsh on business or it gets out of control. No govt contracts for businesses convicted of wrongdoing in the last 10 years. Increased tax rate for business that outsource jobs. Removal of all the bullshit loopholes so they can share the tax burden for us.

Anyone notice the giant pork bill that was passed earlier this week? Way to give billions to tobacco farmers and then NOT have the FDA regulate tobacco. Lobbyists should be shot on principle (go NRA!!!)

Oops. That was me. ^^^^^

re: 2)
Wait... remove people with catastrophic costs? so, what happens to those folks? does the government have some alternate plan for them? If not, it seems kind of absurd. "Oh, you're really sick... Well, you're on your own then."
